Shiitake Log Inoculation Workshop
This event will take place at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, at the Lion’s Club Park in Pine Grove Mills, PA.
Be sure to have your 2017 dues paid in order to ensure that you get an inoculated Shiitake log to take home. Also, please bring your membership card with you to expedite registration. You may pay at the event but prepaid members will have priority in the unlikely event that we run short on logs.
This is a hands-on workshop so dress to work outside. We will be drilling, inoculating, and waxing the logs. Instruction, tools, and supplies will be provided by the club. You should bring safety-glasses if you have them. You may also wish to bring a plastic garbage bag or something similar to protect your vehicle from the dirt and wax on the log/logs you take home.
Members must participate in the event to get a log. If we have inoculated logs left over they can be purchased (at the event) for $20 each.

Sunday, November 20 fall potluck and program on mycotoxins by Penn State professor Gretchen Kuldau at the Baileyville Grange Hall
